My name is Andrea Merrill and I live in the upper left of the United States. I’ve called the Pacific Northwest my home for most of my life and I have a deep love for this place. Over the past few years, I’ve been taking care of an assortment of animals and started this blog to talk about what it’s like to work with dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, and llamas.
One of the more regular animals I’ll be talking about here is Rooster, my one eyed black lab. He’s a rescue pup who is about 12 years old and has been a part of my family for the last five and a half years. His more mischievous brother from another mother is a golden retriever named Milo, who loves to go on walks and hang out with his people.
There’s also the chickens my family shares custody of with our neighbor – two of whom are a little over 4 years old now and the rest are only a few months old! Last but not least, there’s the sheep and llama. Shasta the llama is about 17 years old and a fierce protector of the two sheep, Maddie and Mini.
Thanks for joining me on this journey of caring for all these animals and I hope to see you on the trails of the Pacific Northwest!
